Editorial Portraits
Selective creative collaboration focused on presence and physical expression
This page exists to invite selective creative collaboration.
I work with people who express identity through their body, craft, or physical discipline. That includes artists, creators, actors, performers, and people engaged in training or physical practice at any stage.
These sessions are not about headshots, events, or promotional imagery. They are about presence, effort, and honest expression.
What These Collaborations Are
These projects explore editorial style portraiture rooted in embodiment rather than performance.
Sessions are calm, observational, and unforced. They often take place in real-world environments, such as training spaces, studios, or outdoor locations that hold meaning for the subject.
The work falls between documentary and editorial portraiture, emphasising realism, restraint, and longevity over trends or polish.
Who This Is For
These collaborations are intended for people who are comfortable being seen without exaggeration.
This may include:
Artists and creators
Actors and performers
Dancers and movement-based practitioners
Athletes and people in physical training
Individuals whose relationship with their body is part of their identity
You do not need prior modelling experience. You do need a willingness to be present.
What This Is Not
To avoid confusion, these collaborations are not:
Free photography services
Corporate or professional headshots
Events or group coverage
Influencer or brand campaigns
Family or lifestyle portraits
Commissioned and commercial work is discussed separately.
Why I Offer This
Creative collaboration allows space to work without a brief, a brand voice, or a promotional objective.
Many of the strongest images in my portfolio come from these sessions. Some collaborators later commission personal or editorial projects. Others contribute to a shared body of work that values honesty, restraint, and embodied presence.
There is no obligation either way.
What You Can Expect
Each collaboration is discussed individually, but typically includes:
A considered portrait session in a meaningful environment
Minimal direction and a calm working pace
A small selection of edited images for personal use
Images may also be used in my portfolio and editorial work
Details depend on the project and are agreed in advance.
How to Apply
If this resonates, send a short introduction that includes:
Who you are and what you do
Why you are interested in collaborating
Any relevant links or references
Requests are reviewed selectively. I respond where there is a clear creative fit.
Note: If you are looking for headshots, event photography, or promotional photography, this is not the right fit. If you are interested in honest, editorial portraiture rooted in presence and physical expression, please reach out.

These are selective creative collaborations and there is no fee when the project is initiated as a personal or editorial study. This is not a commercial service.
-
I collaborate with artists, performers, creators, athletes, and people engaged in physical or expressive practice. The common factor is comfort with presence and embodied expression.
-
No. Most collaborators are not professional models. What matters is authenticity and willingness to engage with the process.
-
Collaborators receive images for personal use. I may also use selected images in my portfolio, exhibitions, or editorial work. Any commercial or promotional usage is discussed separately.
-
Sometimes collaborators later commission personal or editorial projects. Sometimes the collaboration remains purely creative. There is no expectation or obligation either way.
-
If a project has a commercial, promotional, or organisational objective, it falls outside this collaboration framework and is quoted separately.
